Harry Potter Hogwarts Library Box Set Review

Hogwarts Library Box Set Review.

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Just Yesterday I went to my local Barnes & Noble and I got a new box set. I got the Harry Potter Hogwarts Library set. The box part of the set is like he material for a hardcover book and it is red. On the front and the back of the box set  there is an gold imprint border. There is also the Hogwarts Shield and lettering that says, 'Hogwarts Library.' On the spine of he box set with the same imprint as the front and back, there is he Hogwarts Shield, 'Hogwarts Library', the names of the books included: Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, and The Tales of Beedle The Bard. At the very bottom there is J.K. Rowling's' signature.

Quidditch Through The Ages is by Kennilworthy Whisp*. This book is 105 pages long and has everything you would need to know about Quidditch from the flying broomstick to Quidditch today. On the cover there is the title in the same gold imprint as the box set has, and a picture of a snitch. There is also a fake wax seal that says, 'Property of Hogwarts Library.'

Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them is by Newt Scamander*. This book is 88 pages long and has all sorts of information on Magical Beasts. On the cover the title is in the gold imprint as the box set was. There is a picture of the Hogwarts Crest and a fake wax seal that says, 'Property of Hogwarts Library.'

The Tales of Beedle the Bard is a collection of children stories that don't have a named author**. Although this book does have additional notes by Albus Dumbledore*. This book is 108 pages long and contains a bunch of children's stories for wizards. On the cover the title is in the same gold imprint a the box set is and it has a picture of a stump which occurs in one of the stories. This also has a fake wax seal that says, 'Property of Hogwarts Library.' I've already read this book before I got this and I loved it each time I read it, it never got boring for me.

*: J.K. Rowling actually wrote these books but put down and created these names to make it feel more realistic for younger audiences.

**: All stories were written by J.K. Rowling, but made them seem like old folk tales or fairytales.

I hoped you all like this post I made for you. This box set was priced at $29.99. The reason why the price is so high for these books is because 20% of the profit goes to two of J.K. Rowling's charities; Lumos and Comic Relief.

Harry Potter New Book Covers Review.

Harry Potter New Book Covers Review.

 *****SPOILER ALERT*****

As many of us know, as a child Harry Potter was our life. We would tear through the series like a wildfire and would beg our parents for one more chapter each night. It all ended eventually. But we were brought back with the 15th anniversary edition of the Harry Potter book covers. Personally, I love these covers better than the originals. I had just asked my family members if one of them would get it for me for my birthday and luckily they did. Its the best gift I got this year.

This box set is very nice since I haven't got one. On the top of the box set it has the words: 'J.K. Rowing. Harry Potter the complete series.' This background is a beautiful blue and white gradient extending from the lower left hand corner to the upper right hand corner. This is supposed to resemble the sky. This sky extends all the way to the right, left and back sides of the box.

On the right side of the box we have a beautiful picture of Hogwarts on top of a big snow covered mountain. It shows some owls flying above the Hogwarts Express. Lastly we have a few of the main characters from the series. Luna Lovegood is sitting on a stone wall next to Neville Longbottom while reading 'The Quibbler.' Professor McGonagall is standing in the lower right hand corner holding a book. In the background there are some more Hogwarts students.

On the back side of the box, we see an image of what looks like a part of Hogsmead. In the upper left hand corner we see a bunch of owls that extend to the other side of the box. There is a shop from Hogsmead called Honeydukes in the background. We see three children in the center of the picture which is Ron, Harry, and Hermione. Ron has a brown over the shoulder bag, Harry is reading a book and has Hedwig on his shoulder, and Hermione is also holding a book. Over by one of the windows we see a boy with blonde hair, which can easily be known as Draco Malfoy.

On the left side of the box we now have a scene of Diagon Alley. We can see the famous joke shop Zonko's. By one of the windows we can see three young children, all in Gryffindor looking through the glass of the shop. There are two people, Albus Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid.

On the front of the boxed set, we can see the spines of each book. But these spines have a special design. Each spine has one part of a picture, and when put together they all create a huge picture of Hogwarts School. The sun is setting an the lights in the castle are a blaze. It is an amazing picture and one that everyone will remember forever. Each book has a new cover and a new back cover with a quote from the book.

On the front cover of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry has Hedwig on his shoulder an is walking down Diagon Alley with Hagrid. I believed that this was a great idea for the first book and is totally unique. On the back cover we see Harry standing in front of a mirror which is the mirror of Erised. This mirror shows not just yourself but also what the viewer most desires. In this case Harry sees his parents (dead parents), James and Lily Potter. The quote on the back of this book is,

"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that." - Albus Dumbledore.

On the front cove of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the Weasleys' flying car is flying to the Burrow (the Weasleys' home.) The Burrow is a multistory home that sticks out at odd angles which means the house is held up by magic. Hedwig is flying by the car. When I was reading this scene in the book I pictured exactly what I see on this cover. On the back of the book we see Harry standing in the Chamber of Secrets. The quote on the back of this book is,
"This diary holds memories of terrible things. Things that were covered up. Things that happened at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." - Tom Marvolo Riddle.

On the front cover of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, there is a bunch of dementors and a stag patronus which was produced by Harry. There is a lake in the picture and on the other side we can see a person lying down, which is also Harry. If you do not get what I was talking about, then you will have to read or reread this book again because I'm not going to explain this. On the back cover we are in the Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA) classroom. There is a big brown wardrobe and next to it there is Professor Lupin. In front of the wardrobe there are a bunch of eager students including Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The quote on the back of this book is,
"What you fear most of all is - fear." - Remus Lupin.

On the front cover of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is on his broom with a big golden egg under his right arm. In the background there is a huge dragon which is the Hungarian Horntail. On the bottom and on the top edges of the book there is an excited audience in the stands. On the back of the book Harry is entering the arena with the Hungarian Horntail in the background. The quote on the back of this book is,
"It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow up to be!" - Albus Dumbledore

On the front cover of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, there is a breath taking sunset in the background. There are three thestrals with a student on each one. I know for sure that Harry is on the one in the foreground, but the other two I cannot be sure. I believe that it is Hermione and Ron or Neville on the other two. Out of all of the book covers, this one is my favorite. On the back of the book we can see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and Neville in the Department of Mysteries. The quote on the back of this book is,
"We're coming with you, Harry." - Neville Longbottom.

On the front cover of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Dumbledore and Harry are on a rock in the middle of the sea which will eventually lead into a cave. I love how the waves are crashing on the rocks because it reminds me of the movie scene. On the back cover we again see Dumbledore and Harry, but they are in Dumbledore's office. On his desk there is what looks like a big bowl, which is the pensieve. The quote on the back of the book is,
"When you have that last piece of the jigsaw, everything will, I hope, be clear..." - Albus Dumbledore.

On the front cover of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all riding a huge grey, scaly, dragon which is defined as the Ukrainian Ironbelly in the movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. On the back of the book we can see Harry facing Lord Voldemort for the final time. By Voldemort there are his followers and by Harry there are his friends and teachers of Hogwarts. The quote on the back of the book is,
"Neither an live while the other survives, and one of us is about to leave for good...."        - Harry Potter

This was my review for the new book covers. Yes, I know it is very long. I hope you guys read it all! Now I leave you with a few questions to ponder on and answer in the comments below. Please answer honestly!

Questions:
1. What did you think about the new covers?
2. Do you think that there will be more new edition of the covers in the upcoming years?
3. Should I do more posts like this one in the future?
